is excited to announce the

2010 TEAM CHALLENGE

Teams must be submitted to:  Ruth Allum, 8249 Fernbank Road, Ashton, Ontario, K0A 1B0; ruth@oakhurstfarm.com

by June1st, 2010 to be eligible for 2010 awards

If a competitor does not yet have a team but would like to be added to one,

please submit an application form and shortly after June 1st, 2010 you will be assigned to a team.

 1. Composition of teams:

Each team can consist of up to 4 rider/volunteer combinations (less is okay too!).

Teams may consist of either volunteers or riders, or a mix of both.

Competitors/volunteers may choose their own teams, and a really cool team name!

Try to include riders from all divisions.

If a rider volunteers and rides in the same competition, points for both volunteering and riding will be awarded to his/her team.

Each team must identify a captain who, after each NCHTA Horse Trials will provide Ruth with a list of its team members that helped at the Horse Trials.

The list of teams & their members will be posted on the NCHTA website

 2. Allocation of Points:

Points will be awarded to each team for competing or volunteering at NCHTA designated Horse Trials or special functions as follows:

 Competition points:

1 point for each team member that enters the dressage ring at an NCHTA Horse Trials

1 point for each team member that places1st to 5th in the Horse Trial

(This means that each person that competes has a chance of adding a maximum of 2 points to the team's total)

1 point for each member that competes in an NCHTA Radical Jumper show or an OVH Hunter Pace

Volunteering points:

1 point per day of competition for each member helping in the running of an NCHTA Horse Trials

Special Function points:

1 point for each member that participates in additional NCHTA designated functions

(Banquet, work days, clinics, etc… these will be listed on the NCHTA website)

 3. How to Volunteer

For each day of the competition that you volunteer, a point can be earned for your team.
